As I was walking home from the Myhre’s yesterday afternoon, a bulldozer/front-end loader type contraption was slowing groaning it’s way up the road, and alongside of it was a group of primary school boys running and yelling and thrilled to be able to say they saw this super duper machine in action. It doesn’t happen too often but I can say everyone along the side of the road was FAR more interested in this contraption passing by than in me passing by, so I smiled to myself and relished every second of my walk home in peace ☺
The walk in peace was fleeting - this afternoon, they were "how are you?"-ing and "muzungu, muzungu"-ing and running alongside me as I walked up the road...oh well.

hi Heidi,
It is Cheryl from SLCH, about the grandma who needs and infant breast fed ( I tried to blot this earlier and being my first time blogging don't think it went through). Anyway any woman who has ever been preg. CAN breastfeed again, no matter how long it has been since her last preg. no matter her age. So the grandma can breastfeed the baby, just have her put the baby to her breast before she attempts to bottle feed it and allow it to suckle and the milk will come. The la Leche league makes a bottle with a flex. straw that can hold formula and the straw goes into the side of the baby's mouth while on the breast to give the baby inscentive to nurse.
Wow, we even take forklifts for granted. Remember the STRIP district in Pgh. where Jeffrey stood watching the forklifts...I can't remember the name of the Italian deli, but I am sure you do!
